Learning Resource Centre
Welcome to the Learning Resource Centre. Our aim is to provide resources for learning and teaching, and to foster a love of reading amongst pupils and staff.
Word Book Day 2018
In celebration of World Book Day 2018 Lochgelly High School staff have been hiding behind their favourite book. Can you spot Who's Behind the Book?
The LRC is staffed by a part-time Library Assistant, Mrs Brown.
"I have lots of favourite books. I read Catch 22 by Joseph Heller when I was at High School and it is still one of my top ten."
The LRC is open to pupils for borrowing and returning books every day during Morning (10:35 - 10:50) and Lunch Break (12:30-13:10)
The LRC is also open for class visits during Teaching Periods 2 - 5.
S1-S3 pupils may borrow 2 items at a time for up to 2 weeks.
Senior Phase pupils can borrow 3 items at a time for up to 2 weeks.
All pupils may bring their books to the library to have them renewed at the end of their loan period.
Study Zone - the LRC can seat 30 pupils at study tables
Computer Suite - there are also 20 computers attached to a networked printer.
The LRC holds a large collection of lending book stock.
Reference Section -
